Privacy Policy

Effective: July 2, 2026

1. Scope and controller

This Policy explains how EdgeCut AI ("EdgeCut," "we," "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website, creative workspace, Agent, voice chat, generation tools, support, and payment flows. EdgeCut is the controller of information handled for our own purposes. Some providers independently control information under their own terms. Contact us at support@edgecut.ai or through "Report an Issue" in your dashboard.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, user ID, authentication records, account preferences, and security events.
  • Creative content: prompts, images, video, audio, masks, project names, generated outputs, metadata, reusable elements, characters, reference media, and edits.
  • Agent information: chat messages, approvals, session history, instructions, memories, selected assets, tool actions, model and generation settings, and feedback.
  • Voice information: short microphone recordings submitted through voice chat, transcripts, selected voice settings, and synthesized replies. Images, video, and voice may be sensitive personal information under some laws when they identify a person. Outside the avatar features described in Section 5, EdgeCut does not use them for identity verification or biometric identification.
  • Avatar and likeness information: if you enroll a personal avatar — enrollment media you submit (such as a short selfie video, photos, or a voice recording) and the avatar profile derived from it, which may include facial-appearance data and a synthetic voice model. This may be biometric or sensitive information under some laws; Section 5 explains how it is handled.
  • Transaction information: purchased credit pack, order and product identifiers, payment status, credit balance, usage ledger, refunds, and billing-support history. Polar processes full payment-card details; we generally do not receive them.
  • Technical and usage information: IP address, browser, device and operating-system information, timestamps, pages and features used, model requests, errors, performance, quota use, approximate location inferred from IP, cookies, and similar identifiers.
  • Support information: reports, messages, contact details, and files or screenshots you choose to attach.

We collect information from you, automatically from your device and use of the Service, and from service providers such as authentication, payment, model, and infrastructure partners.

3. How and why we use information

  • provide accounts, projects, generation, editing, Agent, voice, storage, credits, and support;
  • send prompts and necessary reference media to the model or inference route you use;
  • transcribe voice turns, detect the conversation language, and synthesize spoken replies;
  • save Agent sessions, context, settings, elements, and project history across devices;
  • process orders, apply credits, prevent duplicate charges, and resolve billing disputes;
  • secure the Service, prevent abuse and fraud, enforce quotas and policies, diagnose failures, and recover jobs;
  • analyze performance and usage, improve workflows and reliability, and develop new features;
  • measure advertising and sign-up conversion performance; and
  • comply with law, respond to valid legal process, and establish or defend legal claims.

Where applicable, our legal bases include performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, consent for processing that legally requires it, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

4. AI, Agent, and model providers

To fulfill a request, we may transmit your prompt, settings, and relevant content to providers such as Google (including Gemini, Veo, Cloud, speech, and storage services), Kuaishou/Kling, and external inference providers used by the EdgeCut AI free model. The Agent may send conversation context and selected workspace information needed to plan or execute your request. A provider may reject, moderate, log, retain, or otherwise process a request under its own terms and privacy commitments.

EdgeCut does not use private prompts, uploads, voice recordings, or projects to train an EdgeCut foundation model. We may use limited operational data, feedback, and de-identified or aggregated statistics to improve the Service. Do not submit content you are not authorized to disclose to the provider selected for your request.

5. Avatar, face, and voice cloning data

The avatar feature creates a persistent profile of your face and voice so generated content can depict you consistently. When you enroll, we process your enrollment media to derive that profile, which may include facial-appearance representations and a synthetic voice model. Because this data relates to your physical characteristics, it may qualify as biometric or special-category information in some jurisdictions. We process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, given when you enroll, and only for one purpose: operating the avatar features of your own account.

  • Your avatar profile is used to fulfill generation requests made from your account. It is not made available to other users, not used to identify you or anyone else, not used for surveillance or verification, and not used to train an EdgeCut foundation model.
  • Avatar processing may involve model, media, and voice providers acting on our behalf for your request — such as Google, Kuaishou/Kling, and ElevenLabs where used — under their processing commitments. Enrollment media and derived artifacts may be stored in our private cloud storage.
  • We keep avatar data while your avatar exists. Deleting the avatar or closing your account withdraws your consent and schedules the enrollment media and derived profile (including the voice model) for deletion, subject to the residual-copy limits described in Section 8. You can delete an avatar in the product or request deletion via support.
  • You may only enroll your own face and voice, or those of another adult who gave you explicit written consent, as described in the Terms of Service. We may suspend or delete an avatar and its data where we suspect it was created without valid consent.

6. When we disclose information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:

  • AI, image, video, speech, voice-synthesis, and inference providers used to fulfill requests, including ElevenLabs where used;
  • hosting, storage, database, content-delivery, media-processing, monitoring, and security providers, including Vercel, Google Cloud, Turso, and Cloudinary where used;
  • authentication, email, and support providers, including Resend;
  • Polar as merchant of record for checkout, tax, fraud, refunds, and billing support;
  • analytics and advertising providers, including Vercel Analytics and Google Ads;
  • professional advisers, authorities, or affected parties when reasonably necessary for law, safety, fraud prevention, or legal claims; and
  • a buyer, investor, lender, affiliate, or successor in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising and conversion measurement disclosures may be considered "sharing" or targeted advertising under some laws. Where those laws apply, you may request an opt-out through support.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use necessary cookies and local storage for authentication, security, preferences, project state, and session continuity. We also use Vercel Analytics and Google Ads tags to understand traffic and measure advertising and sign-up conversions. These services may receive device, browser, IP, event, cookie, and advertising-identifier information; Google Ads may receive a normalized or hashed account identifier for enhanced conversion measurement.

You can limit cookies through browser or device controls and may use available Google advertising controls. Blocking storage may prevent parts of the Service from working. Where legally required, non-essential technologies should be used based on consent.

8. Retention and deletion

We retain account, project, asset, Agent-session, element, and generation information while needed to provide the Service and until it is deleted or the account is closed, subject to technical, contractual, and legal limits. Voice-chat audio is processed to transcribe the submitted turn and is not intended as a permanent voice archive, though providers and short-lived technical logs may retain request data under their policies. Avatar enrollment media and derived avatar profiles (including synthetic voice models) are retained as described in Section 5 — while the avatar exists and until you delete it or close your account.

Deleting a project or asset removes it from active user-facing storage and begins our deletion process. Residual copies may remain for a limited time in backups, caches, security logs, provider systems, fraud records, or records required for tax, accounting, disputes, and legal compliance. We retain transaction records as required by applicable law and retain security records for as long as reasonably necessary to protect the Service.

9. International transfers

EdgeCut and its providers may process information in Israel, the United States, Europe, Asia, and other locations where they operate. Privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we rely on adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, consent, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and private cloud storage where appropriate. No system, transmission, provider, or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for avoiding unnecessary secrets or highly sensitive information in prompts and uploads.

11. Automated processing

The Agent and generation models automatically analyze prompts, media, settings, and workspace context to produce creative suggestions and outputs. These systems may also apply automated safety, fraud, quota, and abuse controls. EdgeCut does not use the Agent to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects. You can request human review of an account restriction through support.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, receive a copy of, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information; withdraw consent; opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; and appeal a denied request. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Submit a request through "Report an Issue" or support@edgecut.ai. Specify the account email and the right you wish to exercise. We may verify your identity and authority, and may retain information necessary to document the request. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. Some rights are subject to exemptions.

13. Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Do not upload a minor's face, voice, or other personal data unless you have lawful authority and the use is permitted by our policies and applicable law. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information improperly.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service, providers, and law change. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice for material changes where required. Your continued use after the effective date is subject to the updated Policy.

15. Contact

For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, use "Report an Issue" in your account dashboard or email support@edgecut.ai.
