What the Creative Director does

Chat, plan, approve, and generate — without rendering every message.

Use this to

Understand the Creative Director so chat does not surprise you with (or without) a render. Job to be done: use the agent for planning and generation, and use Help Center for account/billing.

Role

The Creative Director is your in-product production partner. It understands natural language, can inspect gallery context, propose a priced render plan, and answer product questions. Pure questions stay in chat — they should not open a render approval card. Confirmed renders spend credits (or free quota when you opted into EdgeCut AI).

What it can do

• Clarify briefs and suggest shot structure / storyboards

• Propose models (Veo, Kling Omni, Gemini Omni Flash, Nano Banana, opt-in EdgeCut AI free)

• Open an approval card with estimate before paid (and sometimes free) generation

• Respect confirm-before-generating and your agent defaults

• Use Elements / references / [@me] when you ask

What it cannot do

It cannot refund credits, change Polar subscriptions, ban/unban accounts, or act as site admin. It should not invent a separate help menu. For those issues, use /help chat, Report an Issue, or support@edgecut.ai.

Voice

Voice mode (where enabled) talks to the same Director brain over a live session. Spoken creative requests still follow the same approval and model rules — say clearly when you want a render vs a question.

Tips

Separate “explain / how do I…” from “make / render / generate…”. Explicit create language plus Confirm on the card is the reliable path to media. Free EdgeCut AI only when you opt in.

When to contact support

Creative workflow: stay with the Director. Refunds, billing, lockouts, security: Help Center at /help or support@edgecut.ai — not the Creative Director.
