Understand the approval card
What you confirm before credits are spent.
Use this to
Know what you are approving before EdgeCut spends credits or free quota. Job to be done: read model, duration, and total cost, then Confirm or Cancel.
What you see
When a render is proposed, EdgeCut shows one approval card covering the whole plan (up to multiple items). It typically includes a short title, a summary, model choices, resolution/duration where relevant, and the credit total for the plan.
Steps
1. Read the plan title and summary — does it match what you asked for?
2. Check model (Veo / Kling / Omni / Nano / EdgeCut AI free) and duration or chain length.
3. Check the credit estimate (or free/quota path when you opted into EdgeCut AI).
4. Confirm to dispatch, or Cancel / dismiss if wrong.
5. Tell the Director what to change after Cancel — do not approve a plan you did not ask for.
Your settings
Confirm-before-generating can require a card even for free plans, or auto-dispatch when set to never confirm. Free-only EdgeCut plans may auto-approve depending on that setting. Agent defaults fill model/resolution when you did not override them; explicit requests win.
Common mistakes
• Ignoring the card and assuming generation started.
• Confirming a multi-item chain you only wanted as a single short clip.
• Expecting chat-only questions to show a card — they should not.
When to contact support
If you confirmed a plan and credits left but no asset appeared after a long wait, see Stuck or slow renders and Refunds and failed jobs. Escalate via /help chat or support@edgecut.ai with timestamps. The Director cannot reverse a charge.
