Attach references

Keep a face, product, or style consistent across generations. Job to be done: attach clear reference images, describe their role, and use a paid model that supports references.

1. Open the prompt bar attachment control.

2. Upload new images or pick existing gallery frames.

3. Wait until uploads finish before submitting a dependent render.

4. In the prompt, say how each reference should be used (face lock, product packshot, style frame, wardrobe).

5. For reusable cast/set pieces, register Elements and @mention them instead of re-uploading every time.

The free EdgeCut AI path does not support references. If you need reference lock, use Veo, Kling Omni, Gemini Omni Flash (when offered), or Nano Banana for stills. Too many conflicting references in one short clip can hurt adherence — prefer a primary hero reference plus supporting detail.

Use well-lit, unobstructed face/product shots. Reuse the same references across a project for continuity. Combine with Elements / [@me] for long-running characters. For precise lip-synced audio on an existing video, open Lip Sync on the asset after the video exists.
